Stardate N.G.   Voyager encounters an alien vessel fleeing attack whose sole inhabitant is a female alien, Kellin, asking for Chakotay to help rescue her. Kellin, who claims that she and Chakotay met before and were in love, explains she has been on the ship not very long ago. But due to her government law, nobody must have knowledge of their existence and any memory is softly erased. Now she runs away and seeks asylum aboard the starship, but it is not long before her species finds Voyager again.
