Stardate N.G.
As the U.S.S. Voyager rescues two families of telepathic alien refugees from the Devore Imperium, they are intercepted by a Devore squadron and boarded by inspectors searching for the defectors. Soon Kashyk, the lead Devore officer, pleads with Janeway to grant him asylum.

crew (Janeway claims there were 4 telepaths onboard, Jarot, Suder, Vorik and Tuvok, and they're all dead, which is right for Suder, and maybe Jarot as she's supposed to be Betazoid and then may have been the bridge member dead in the beginning of Caretaker; anyway there are no more Betazoid onboard, as later confirmed by Janeway)/ Janeway (she's got a 600 year old microspoc in her office given to her by her grandmother)/ torpedo (2 launched, which brings us to 47)/ astrometrics (Voyager is travelling through Devore space, a very advanced and powerful species that hates telepaths. A wormhole opens randomly in Devore space that leads outside their territory, but obviously not in the Alpha Quadrant direction)/ technology (transporter signals can stay stored for less than a few hours before degradating and killing the beings inside)
