Torres' crewmates are alarmed when she repeatedly engages in reckless activity including orbital skydiving. Meanwhile, after the USS Voyager directs its probe into a hazardous atmosphere, protecting it from a Malon freighter, Lt. Paris launches a newly constructed, all environment shuttlecraft, to retrieve it.

Delta Flyer (he's built by Paris in one week after designs already thought of, has ultra aerodynamic contours, retractable nacelles, parametallic hull plating and Borg inspired weapons. He got Captain Proton style buttonsm knobs and levers for more flight feelings, all controls being totally functionnal, we're told)/ Torres (Her mother left her when she was 6. Her grandmother cooked her banana pancakes when she was a kid. She's been vired from Starfleet at the age of 19)/ Voyager (one probe launched)/ holodeck (skydiving, cardassian caves with security off, Delta Flyer microfractures testing with security off, dead Maquis people, programs for Torres, )/ shuttles (one big new one, the Delta Flyer. As Delta Flyer is built in only one week, it means a classoic shuttle poses no problem for being rebuilt between 2 episodes)
